Hon. Charles Kitwanga

Hon. Charles Kitwanga (MP) is the Deputy Minister for Energy and Minerals (Energy) in the Ministry of Energy and Minerals, United Republic of Tanzania.

Hon. Kitwanga received his MSc. in Information Technology from the University of Essex in 1991, making him an expert on technology related matters. He is currently a member of parliament and has been an IT specialist at the Bank of Tanzania from 1988 until 1997. He was promoted to the post of Deputy Director, Systems Design and Administration from 1998-2010.  Moreover, he was the deputy minister for Communication,  Science and Technology from November,2010 to May, 2012. Between May, 2012-December, 2013, he was deputy minister in the Vice President’s Office for Environment.
