After serving in Her Majesty’s Royal Marines, Conrad Thorpe resigned his commission early to return to Kenya the land of his birth. He founded Salama Fikira, a strategic risk management and special services security company in 2005, in Nairobi Kenya. The company has since expanded across Africa with services now being delivered in almost all sub-Saharan countries as well as in the maritime and offshore domains. Today the company services multi-sector clients in the land, maritime, offshore, aviation, investigations, corporate security, intelligence, kidnap & ransom, conservation services, special projects and training sectors.
As a citizen of Kenya and the UK his motive has always been to grow a multinational security company delivering international levels of service in the emerging economies of the world.
