Postponement Notice

In light of developing circumstances, and with particular reference to the impact of COVID-19; the 6th East Africa Oil & Gas Summit has been postponed until November 2020.

Over the last few days concern has mounted rapidly about the COVID-19 coronavirus. The World Health Organization raised the threat level on Friday, and an increasing number of companies are instituting travel bans and restrictions, border health checks are becoming more restrictive and there is growing concern about large conferences with people coming from different parts of the world. Delegates from 35 countries were due to participate in EAOGS.

Our number one concern is the health and safety of delegates and speakers, our partners, our colleagues and vendors. We have spent much time focused on this question together with our colleagues in our host city of Nairobi. The spread of COVID-19 has evolved quickly over the past two weeks. The responsible action therefore has to be to postpone EAOGS until more is known about the virus impact and therefore the 6th EAOGS will now be hosted in Nairobi, November 2020. This decision has been taken after deep consideration.

We recognize the dedication and importance of the EAOGS community. We thank you for your engagement and your commitment to EAOGS and your understanding.
