Jeanine de Villiers is the Deputy Medical Director of the Johannesburg assistance center and has been working for International SOS for the past 14 years. She obtained her MBChB degree from the University of Pretoria, South Africa, in 2002 and completed her internship and community service duties in South Africa. Dr. de Villiers holds a postgraduate diploma in Tropical Medicine and Health and has also successfully obtained certification through the South African Civil Aviation Authority as an Aviation Medical Examiner.  She fulfills a medical managerial role in a multiplatform environment with exposure to various industries including the offshore oil and gas industry; remote site work environments; the commercial maritime industry; the commercial aviation industry; emergency medical evacuations and  travel medicine.
